Public Relations and Information Office

The Public Affairs Office is the “community contact” point for the Sheriff’s Office. This is the department that handles news media inquiries and makes routine announcements to the media about items of interest involving the Sheriff’s Office. The Public Affairs Office is also the clearing house for neighborhood organizations, churches and community groups interested in knowing more about the Sheriff’s Office. Representatives from the Public Affairs Office work closely with the Crime Prevention Office to arrange for community programs on a variety of topics.

Sheriff Luttrell meets often with community groups. Contact the Public Affairs Office if you are interested having the Sheriff visit your organization, church or neighborhood association.

The Public Affairs Office provides “hands-on” service to the community. Representatives tour neighborhoods to gain insight about crime trends and work with other government agencies to address any problems that might be reported.
