We are fortunate to have a staff of very dedicated professional officers and civilian personnel. The annual budget for the Patrol Division in the 2002-2003 fiscal year was slightly over $2,000,000.00, including operations and payroll.

Squad CarWe currently have seven districts that cover a very large land area in Shelby County. This area includes Arlington, Lakeland and all other unincorporated areas. Due to recent City of Memphis annexations, the area that is covered has decreased in size. However, Uniform Patrol had a slight decrease in calls in the year 2002. Overall, Uniform Patrol Officers responded to 76,276 citizen initiated calls, issued 13,876 Regular Citations and 16,296 Courtesy Citations. Felony arrests numbered 764, while Misdemeanor Arrests added up to 4,850.
