Our Reporting Process
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office CompStat process is available for the public to review statistical information related to its operation.
The Sheriff’s Office is divided into three major divisions for the purposes of command and control. They are the Law Enforcement Division, Jail Division and the Administrative Division.
Each division prepares monthly CompStat (computer statistics) Report Cards that are used to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and deployment procedures. The division chiefs and managers meet monthly with the Sheriff to review the report cards.
Using the CompStat review process, adjustments are made by the respective divisions in strategies and tactics to address any shortcomings identified in the data and to further develop practices and solutions that were determined to be successful to address issues.
The report cards are updated monthly on this web site and are available for your review and input. Click this link Report Suggestions to email us your input or comments.
All SCSO reports are readily available on our Downloadable Documentation page.
